Fixes and Improvements

Support for SQL Server 2012 and 2014 has been dropped, making SQL Server 2016 the minimum supported version.

Terminals, User Interfaces

Prevented installing the terminal with the Payment feature enabled on Ricoh IM 2702 devices, as payment is only supported on Ricoh SOP G2.5+ models with SmartSDK ≥ 3. This avoids reservation failures on IM 2702 where only “stop on zero” cannot be reliably supported. (SBT-5283)

Improved Sharp ET scan reliability by allowing a new scan to start only when no previous job is still being processed, displaying a clear error screen if the device is busy. (SBT-5307)

Fixed HP embedded terminal authentication registration so the Sign-in method list shows only a single entry (even when Card, PIN, and Username/Password combinations are installed) instead of duplicate records. (SBT-5364)

Installation and Administration

Management now reuses the existing proxy configuration (useProxy, proxyUser, proxyEndpoint, proxyPassword, proxyAuthenticate) for all external communication. This enables user-based authentication on scan connectors in environments running behind a proxy. (SQC-8736)

Data synchronization issue between components fixed. The issue affecting cache data storage may result in the loss of statistical data and job history, and the inability to see far-roaming print jobs on the terminal. (SBT-5380)

CLI User Replicator USERUPDATE now handles non-existent users consistently with PINCARD by avoiding generic HTTP 500 failures and instead reporting which records were applied, along with a clear “user does not exist” error. Missing users are either explicitly logged and skipped or cause an informative abort, ensuring batch updates don’t silently partially apply without actionable feedback. (SBT-4591)

Fixed an issue where IMS Proxy could not start because IMS Server failed to load proxy configuration. (SBT-5362)

Fixed an issue where editing the default entitlement would fail. (SBT-5384)

Fixed upgrade pre-checks on MSSQL. (SBT-5361)

Printing

Improved handling of large LPR submissions from FPS to prevent duplicate print jobs. (SBT-5370)

Scanning

WPS now correctly handles SMTP credentials provided as domain\username by preserving the full username for authentication. (SBT-5393)

Security Mitigation and Enhancements

Updated the bundled MSSQL JDBC driver to the latest version, introducing TLS certificate validation (the server certificate must now be provided to the installer or an insecure flag explicitly used with a warning). Support for SQL Server 2012 and 2014 has been dropped, making SQL Server 2016 the minimum supported version and preventing direct automated upgrades from SafeQ 5 on those databases (PostgreSQL unaffected). (SBT-5329)

Added a new ACL permission, “Reporting – view own job list,” enabled by default to maintain backward compatibility. When disabled by an administrator, users can no longer view their own job list in Reporting or via the dashboard widget, supporting stricter GDPR-related access requirements. (SBT-5317)

Various security mitgations (SBT-5360, SBT-5369)

Embedded PostgreSQL was updated to version 18.2 (SBT-5353)

Product extensions (or customizations)
